Building Smart and Secure Infrastructures

The Systems Research Group at SEECS is performing cutting-edge research in Cloud Computing, Distributed Operating Systems; Mobile and Ubiquitous Computing, embedded systems, secure SCADA systems and Critical Infrastructure Protection.
 

 

 

 

   

Center of Excellence in Mobile Computing

The Systems Research Group has set up a Mobile Computing Center of Excellence (EMC) at SEECS with a dedicated lab with state-of-the-art specialized equipment including:

  1. A dozen Apple Macintosh (IMAC, Intel Core 2 Duo 3.06 GHz) with 4 GB RAM) Systems for Mobile Application development.
  2. Android (Dell Streak and Samsung) and iPhone phone sets for Testing
  3. 31x, 38x, 52x, 56x and 63xx Multi-Core MIPS64 OCTEON processor motherboards for hardware/Mobile Operating System research
 

 

 

 

Lab Director
Dr. Zahid Anwar is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computing at SEECS, NUST. His interests include Networks and Information Security Issues in Distributed Systems.
